

This ends up coming back to bite Snoke in a major way, as it provokes Kylo into forsaking his loyalty to Snoke and murdering him to save Rey, who notably doesn't mistreat him. Snoke was be betrayed after he humiliated his student and threatened Rey, who Kylo formed an unlikely bond with - Kylo killed his master and assumed the title of Supreme Leader for himself. Initially presenting himself as an ally to Ben Solo, he helped turn him against his family and embrace the Dark Side of the Force as Kylo Ren. He has no permanent base of operations, preferring to contact his underlings via hologram from his gigantic ship, the Supremacy. Snoke is also a powerful wielder of the Dark Side and the teacher of Kylo Ren. Ren became the new Supreme Leader of the First Order, but after encountering a revived Sidious on Snoke's homeworld of Exegol, he aspired to rule the galaxy as Emperor of the Final Order.The Supreme Leader of the First Order military junta, Snoke commands General Hux and the rest of the resurgent Imperial military. His role had been designed by the Sith Eternal cultists to act as a final crucible, to groom and mold Ren into a master of attack and cunning. He not only tested Ren's worthiness as a disciple, but also his capacity to inherit the Sith legacy. Ultimately, Snoke's entire existence was built for this moment: to serve as a final test for Ren. Ren turned on Snoke, however, using Skywalker's lightsaber to end his master's life. Having lured the Jedi apprentice Rey to him through her bond with Ren, Snoke urged the dark warrior to complete his training by executing the scavenger. Though not a Sith, Snoke was nonetheless a master of the dark side of the Force, and influenced Ben Solo into abandoning the Jedi path to become his apprentice, Kylo Ren.


A master of the Force and a seeker of arcane lore, Snoke possessed the knowledge and power that made him the undisputed heir to the Contingency crafted by the Sith Lord Darth Sidious before his demise.
